Dog owners must provide daily



  1. Fresh food daily sufficient for the age, size and condition.

  2. Clean, fresh water of a drinkable temperature always available.

  3. For outdoor dogs, shelter to protect from any adverse weather and the effects of heat or cold.

  4. If dog is tied, the chain should be at least (3) times the length of the dog and should be attached to a comfortable collar. The dog should be tied in a manner as to prevent being tangled with anything.

  5. If in a pen, the dog should be able to easily stand, sit, lie, turn about and make all other normal body movements in a comfortable manner.

  6. Adequate exercise, especially dogs penned or crated.

  7. Veterinary care when needed or to prevent suffering or disease transmission, such as vaccinating for rabies and distemper/parvo.

  8. Confinement to owner's property and clean, sanitary yard conditions.

  9. License, rabies and ID tags attached to dog's collar.
